OpaPhotography is one of the pages of my life. To understand the philosophy of the photographer’s profession, I will recall a few pages of biography from my life. Once I bought the first computer in my life “Poisk (Search) -1” produced by the Kiev plant Electronmash. I quickly realized that in order to use software, you need to understand how computers work in general. As a result, I started assembling and repairing computers. I once assembled a computer compatible with AppleMAC for the Litsoft printing house. More precisely, I and the director of Litsoft, Oleksandr Litichevsky, made a small miracle at that time – we developed layouts for offset printing on a personal computer running Windows 3.11. And scanning and output of films was done on Macintosh computers. At the time, this seemed impossible because Windows and Mack considered the devices incompatible. Alexander offered me a job as a layout designer. So I became a professional designer of offset and any other printing. Then it is clear. To understand how difficult it is to print the work of pseudo-designers, I began to spend hours and days at the printing press. Learning the right design, that is, understanding what is possible to print well and what is not. And when I learned to design a machine that could print a “drawing”, you begin to realize that there are many x-photographers who don’t even realize that their “masterpieces” can only scare children. That’s why I started studying the art of photography.
